How does the subscription work?

Choose a tier, take the Flavor Root Quiz to match your subscription preferences, and receive a themed box each month. Subscriptions renew automatically, but you can pause, skip, or cancel anytime before the monthly cutoff.

Can I gift a Flavor Root Box?

Yes. Gift subscriptions are available for and include a personalized message for the recipient.

What types of items are included in each box?

Each box includes a mix of curated items such as:

  • Handcrafted spice blends

  • Regional sauces and condiments

  • Gourmet snacks and teas

  • Specialty cooking tools or accessories

Are recipes included?

Yes. Each box includes tier-specific recipes that highlight the featured product or item.

Shipping and Billing

When did Flavor Root Box launch?

February is the official launch month and the first box shipped.

When will my box ship?

Boxes ship during the first 7 days of each month. Subscribers receive a tracking number once the box is on the way.

When will I be billed?

Billing occurs between the 20th of each month for the upcoming month’s box.

How does skipping a month work?

Customers may skip an upcoming box by making changes by the 19th of the month, before billing is processed. If the skip deadline is missed, the subscription will be billed and the upcoming box will ship as scheduled.

Where do you ship?

Flavor Root Box currently ships within the United States and select territories. For our Alaskan, Hawaiian, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands customers, delivery may take an additional 4–12 business days. Canadian and International shipping may also experience extended delivery timelines.

Do I pay for shipping?

Yes, shipping rates and any promotions are shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.

How does billing work for multi-month subscriptions?

Multi-month subscriptions are billed once at checkout for the full gift term. If you purchase a recurring subscription, billing follows the monthly cadence listed above.

When will I get my first box? When will the gift box arrive?

Your first box ships during the first 7 days of the month. Gift subscriptions follow the same shipping cadence, starting with the recipient’s first shipment and continuing with each month’s new theme.

Cancellation 

How do I cancel my Flavor Root Box subscription?

You may cancel your Flavor Root Box subscription at any time by logging into your account and managing your subscription settings. Cancellations must be completed before the monthly cutoff date to avoid being billed for the upcoming box.

When is the cancellation cutoff?

To avoid being charged for the next month’s box, cancellations must be made by the 19th of the month, before billing is processed between the 20th.

If the cancellation deadline is missed, the subscription will be billed and the upcoming box will ship as scheduled.

Will I receive a refund if I cancel?

Because Flavor Root Box curates and prepares boxes in advance, charges processed after the monthly cutoff are non-refundable. Once billing has occurred, the upcoming box will still ship.

Multi-month and gift subscriptions are billed in full at checkout and are non-refundable once processed.

What happens after I cancel?

Once canceled:

  • Your subscription will not renew

  • You will not receive future boxes

  • You may rejoin Flavor Root Box at any time by subscribing again

You will continue to receive any box that has already been billed prior to cancellation.

Can I pause or skip instead of canceling?

Yes. If you’re not ready to cancel completely, you can:

  • Skip a specific month (by the 20th)

  • Pause your subscription for a later date

These options are available through your account dashboard.

What if I cancel a gift subscription?

Gift subscriptions are prepaid for the full term and cannot be canceled or refunded once purchased. The recipient will continue to receive boxes for the duration of the gift period.
